Saturday May 4th at 7:30pm: Alice’s Adventures in Oxford.

Saturday May 11th at 7:30pm: Alyn Shipton’s New Orleans Jazz Friends
Radio 3 broadcaster and jazz historian Alyn Shipton brings his acoustic band made up of musicians who have all spent time in New Orleans learning from the founding fathers of the music. This will be our last Spring event in our 12th jazz series.

N.B. SOLD OUT as at 10/05/2024 but a few returned tickets may be available from our website
Autumn Jazz Programme – starting 14 September
We have a sparkling line up for you this Autumn. Starting with the return of Ewan Bleach, this time with his 10 piece ‘Fleeting Paradise Orchestra’ which breathes contemporary life into arrangements of popular songs and original blues and jazz numbers from the 10-piece ‘territory’ bands of late 20s and early 30s America. Make sure you keep an eye on our website for more details and tickets. We will let subscribers to our mailing list know when tickets go on sale.

We follow that on Saturday October 12th with a warm welcome to the Tommasso Starace Trio. Then on Saturday 26th October we welcome back the Philip Clouts Quartet which was so well received and reviewed here last year. If you missed it then you are in for a treat!
A newcomer to Jazz at St Giles’ on Saturday November 9th is  The Tom Thorp Band and we finish our 12th series in grand style on Sunday December 8th, with our old friends The Budapest Cafe Orchestra. Tickets are already on sale for that.
